Following the release of the NSS (National Student Survey) results, Point Blank Music School is proud to announce that our final year Higher Education students have given us a score of 84% for overall satisfaction, beating our sector benchmark by 6% and placing us at the top of the independent music production school food chain.

In addition to an overall satisfaction rating of 84%, our students had some other very positive feedback for us:

• 95% said Point Blank staff were good at explaining things
• 92% said Point Blank staff made their subjects interesting
• 91% said their course provided opportunities to bring ideas together from different topics
• 89% said their course provided opportunities to apply what they had learned
• 88% said their course was intellectually stimulating

Reflecting on the results of this year’s survey, Point Blank’s Managing Director, Jules Brookes, said:

“Like the rest of the world, Point Blank Music School and our students had to face sweeping changes over the last few months given the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Whilst closing campuses and transitioning to learning online, we have ensured our Virtual Classroom and remote support services deliver the very best possible student experience. We modelled our online activities as closely as possible on those taking place on campus and these results show the level of our commitment to our students’ wellbeing, educational outcomes and career ambitions.

With a TEF Silver Award for teaching excellence and an overall student satisfaction rate of 84%, we will continue our commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of our provision by listening carefully to the student voice and taking action to create an even better student experience year on year.”
