The French company Arturia has released the third version of the virtual synthesizer Pigments. The plugin received an additional sound engine with a sub-oscillator, a filter from Jup-8 V, and several new effects for sound processing.
Arturia Pigments 3 has three sound engines and allows you to use virtual analog and waveform oscillators together. The synthesizer includes a set of oscillators and modulations, automation editors, filters, and many built-in FX handlers. All program parameters can be modulated, synchronized, and routed at the discretion of the user.
The innovations of Pigments 3 include a mechanism for tuning harmonics, 64 new wavetables, 4 additional effects (Pitch Delay, BL-20 Flanger, Chorus JUN-6, Multi-Band Compressor), 200 new sound presets, the ability to connect an additional library (Spectrum Sound Pack). The synthesizer can work both as a stand-alone application and as a VST / AAX / AU plug-in connected to the DAW.
The cost of Arturia Pigments 3 is about $200. For owners of earlier versions of the program, the update is available free of charge.
