Today, we’re excited to announce our involvement in a new scholarship scheme, in partnership with Denis Sulta and DJ Mag. Introducing, the Denis Sulta X DJ Mag Future Stars Scholarship.

This scholarship is available to UK-based disabled applicants whose circumstances may otherwise prevent them from commencing their studies in music. It aims to provide access to music education for all, with a focus on enabling disabled artists an opportunity to pursue their passion through education.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, especially those who feel that they face difficulties when accessing the music scene due to their disability, cultural background and/or socioeconomic status. If any applicants have accessibility needs and would like some assistance applying, we are here to help. The value of this scholarship is £9,250 per year for three years (in the form of a fee-wavier).

To apply for this scholarship simply apply for the BA (Hons) Music Production & DJ Performance Degree (3 Years) or the BA (Hons) Music Production & DJ Performance Degree (2 years) and submit a scholarship application in the form of a CV and Cover Letter (2 sides A4 maximum). Your covering letter should include the following:

  • The name of the scholarship you are applying for
  • Your name and full contact details (including application number if available)
  • Evidence of your stated disability
  • The reason you are applying and should be selected for the scholarship
  • Highlights of your relevant musical experience (professional or personal)
  • Links to your artist social media profiles (Soundcloud, YouTube, Insta etc.)
  • Links to video / audio clips showcasing your strongest music and/or mix

Applications must be received by midnight on 5th August 2022. Please email your complete application to: scholarships@pointblankmusicschool.com.

If you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited to attend a virtual interview with Denis Sulta between 22nd August and 29th August. Once all of the shortlisted applicants have been seen and completed a second panel interview between 31st August and 7th September, the winner will be contacted and officially announced. The course will start on 4th October. Find out more about Point Blank’s bursaries and scholarships here.
