Auden have released Heat, available as a FREE and fully functional plugin, occasionally displaying a pop-up asking for a donation. Donors will receive a license key to stop the pop-up.

Heat is a distortion plugin with four distortion types.

It has an auto-gain function for an efficient workflow. With a boost function to multiply the amount of gain, it can handle everything from mild saturation to intense distortion.

Auto gain attenuates the signal in the output stage by the same amount as the applied gain. This allows the sound to be distorted while maintaining a constant volume.

The Auto Gain knob sets the maximum value for attenuation. Auto gain should be set to a level slightly below the input volume.

Features include:

• 4 distortion types
• Offset for asymmetric distortion
• Boost to increase the gain by up to 10 times
• Auto gain for constant output volume
• Oversampling (up to x16)
• Resizable window

Heat is available to MacOS users (VST3 and AU). A Windows version is in development.
