Sonicouture have released Balinese Flutes: Modelled Wind Instrument, available at the intro price of £59.00 / $69.00, increasing to £79.00 / $89.00 after the promotion.

Balinese Flutes, or Suling, are end-blown flutes played solo, together with gamelan ensembles, and occasionally in other ensembles. They’re typically made of bamboo and have six sound holes. They vary greatly in size from the enormous suling gambuh to a tiny suling kantilan. Sonicouture have four in our collection.

Using cutting-edge phase-matching techniques, Sonicouture have created a dynamic, expressive instrument that is simple and inspiring to play.

Dynamic modelling makes Balinese Flutes simple yet expressive to play.

Under the hood – dynamic legato, vibrato breath modulation, breath to pitch modulation + instability emulation all combine to give a natural, intuitive keyboard feel.

Features include:

  • 310MB Library
  • 24 Bit, 96khz Stereo Sampling
  • Modelled breath pressure response
  • Natural vibrato modelling
  • Legato
  • Custom Reverb Processor
