Lotus Sound Audio has introduced LA2-FOX, a free compressor plugin inspired by the legendary Teletronix LA-2A. Available for both macOS and Windows, this plugin is designed to deliver the smooth, musical compression that made the original hardware a studio favorite. LA2-FOX aims to provide that signature warmth and clarity while maintaining the dynamic integrity of your mix, whether it’s on vocals, bass, or other instruments.
Personal Review
While reviewing the plugin the team faced a problem with Logic Pro. However other DAWs were able to run the plugin well.
Keeping that aside, the interface of LA2-FOX closely mirrors the classic LA-2A design but offers a bit more control with adjustable Ratio, Attack, and Release settings. This modern tweak allows for greater flexibility while preserving the core functionality and sound of the original hardware.
Features
- Inspired by the Teletronix LA-2A leveling amplifier
- Adjustable Ratio, Attack, and Release knobs for greater control
- Output and Peak Reduction knobs for easy level management
- Warm and smooth compression suitable for vocals, bass, and more
- Designed to maintain dynamic range without sacrificing clarity
System Requirements
- Compatible with macOS and Windows
- Not compatible with Pro Tools
- AU and VST3 formats available
