We are thrilled to introduce pointblank’s Release Radar on Spotify – a platform designed for students to share their new releases with the community. At pointblank, we want you to feel inspired and excited about your journey, no matter where you are in your musical career.
Not only will your songs be played on campus and during events, but you will also gain opportunities to collaborate with fellow students. This initiative provides valuable experience in playlist pitching and music submission, preparing you for approaches to radio stations, record labels, event organisers, and venue owners.
Take your journey to the next level by sharing your release on pointblank’s Release Radar and connecting with the vibrant community around you. We can’t wait to hear your music! Submit your releases here and check out our Release Radar here. Let’s welcome this month’s releases:
1. SAYA (Radio Certificate student)
SAYA is a UK-based, professional DJ/Producer/Radio Host (SELECT RADIO 94.4FM), and an event organiser. She fuses disco, house, and tech house to create her sonic signature, which has established her as an international artist. SAYA has played at popular clubs in London (Ministry of Sound, Egg, etc) and Ibiza (Hush, EDEN, Itaca, Es Paradis, BayBar Beach, etc) as well as international festivals (Clockwork Orange, Wilkestock, EXILE, GoatFest UK, etc). She has also supported household names and brands such as CASSIMM, Housework events, Danny Clockwork (Clockwork Orange), Andy Manston, Junior Jack, Lenny Fontana, Lisa Loud, Ellie Cocks and Alex P, Dolly Rockers, Sam Supplier, Sammy Porter and so on, to mention a few.
Her new release, “Song of the Dancefloor”, is described as a dancefloor heater that leaves no one cold! Guaranteed to move music lovers all over the world with its powerful baseline and uplifting vocal – catapulting listeners to another dimension.
2. Priyank Shah (Music Production & Sound Engineering 3-Year Degree student)
With over 13 years in the industry, Priyank Shah has established himself as a trailblazing artist known for blending the infectious energy of synth-pop, pop, and dance music with the rich cultural depth of his Indian heritage. His unique sound seamlessly integrates catchy melodies with subtle Indian elements, creating a musical experience that transcends boundaries and resonates globally. Drawing inspiration from classical Indian rhythms and contemporary pop influences, Priyank’s compositions celebrate diversity and innovation. His ability to merge tradition with modernity has made him a standout voice in today’s music landscape. Each track is a sonic journey, weaving East and West into a harmonious fusion that captivates listeners with its originality and vibrancy. Priyank Shah’s music is more than entertainment—it’s an invitation to explore the beauty of cultural connection through the universal language of sound. Whether energising the dance floor or touching hearts with soulful melodies, Priyank is redefining what it means to bridge worlds through music.
This house and dance anthem “I’m Not Weak” tells a powerful story. Inspired by the story of overcoming struggles and failures, the lyrics dive deep into the emotions of loss and self-doubt, but they also offer hope, courage, and the reminder that no matter how tough life gets, you can rise again.
3. Felix Cassell (Music Production & Vocal Performance 3-Year Degree student)
4. Coco Bea (Music Production Ableton and Singing student)
